Hello golfers,
Seniors' Bowmaker
The seniors battled through some slightly 'iffy' conditions last Thursday in their bowmaker competition. Top of the pile was the team comprising of Dick Bird, Jack Harris and Glynn Hickman. Their 80 points was good enough to pip Ron Angell, Stephen Kilby and Ian Thom on the back nine. Third place on 79 points went to David Fife, Nick Hicks and David Brown.
Ladies Greensomes
This week's ladies event was played in greensomes format. Some close scoring saw the top five pairs separated by only three points. The pairing of Jane Clark and Lesley Wicking secured top spot with 36 points, runners up on 35 points were Rosemary Fife and Marian Crewe, third place went to Linda Reynolds and Avril Thomas on 34 points.
The answer to losing balls
Go yellow. Not long ago, anyone using a yellow ball may have left themselves open to a bit of mickey taking. These days they're used on Tour, even when the weather's not gloomy. Are golfers still sceptical about using a yellow ball? Perhaps, but if you're fed up with losing balls in the fading light and amongst the leaves, why not switch to yellow during the winter?
Visit the shop to view the various ranges, you certainly won't be compromising on quality or performances benefits - and you might just save yourself a few quid over the next few months.
That's our free advice for the week, no need to thank us…but if there is anything else you are unsure of this winter, please click here to send us an email. We are here to help!
