Hello golfers,
Money Money Money!
So, there you have it: Jordan Spieth shoots a final-round 69 to win the Tour Championship in Atlanta, earning £7.5m by also securing victory in the FedEx Cup. Nice work if you can get it! Given Spieth won the first two Majors of the season, you'd have to say the best man won, right? But what about Jason Day? Maybe you're not that fussed and the FedEx Cup doesn't really do it for you. All valid talking points right now.
You might not ever find yourself playing for millions of dollar, but we would like to help you walk away with your playing partners' money - and we're not talking outright theft from their golf bag.
It looks like we could be fortunate with an Indian Summer and whilst the sun's still shining then we urge you to get out and play, there's still a lot to look forward to. One way of improving your chances in the next Medal, or Stableford, is to come and see us for a lesson. Whether you're a single figure golfer or 20-handicapper, let's take a look at your swing and help you to take the money this weekend.

Somerset Golf Union
Somerset were edged out of the English Mens' County Championship by 12 time winners Lancashire during an intensely close final held over three days at Wychwood Park, Cheshire.
Somerset lost on countback by a mere 1½ game points on the final day, after the two teams tied with two match wins apiece. Lancashire clinched the title with a 5-4 win over Hampshire, while Somerset beat Lincolnshire 5½-3½.
Ladies Team News
The last two 'A' team matches of the season saw the Clevedon Ladies narrowly lose to Long Ashton 'A' 5 points to 9 and to Bristol & Clifton 'B' 6 points to 8. Many thanks to all the 'A' Team players and reserves who were often up against much lower handicapped opposition players.
The last game of the season for the "B" team was home to Saltford and we managed an honourable draw. The team have done brilliantly this year and like the "A" team have often played against much lower handicapped players. However it looks as though we are just going to miss out on promotion. We are joint second with Bath at the moment both with 89 points, but they have one more game to play and even if they lose this game and don't pick up any points, they will be the team promoted as they have won one more game than us.
