Rahm doubles up in Dubai After seven holes on Sunday, Jon Rahm held a six-shot lead over Tommy Fleetwood and was cruising not just to the DP World Tour Championship title but also to sealing the deal in this year’s Race to Dubai. Rahm was one of the five contenders for the European Tour’s top season-long prize and was locked with fellow title hopeful and clubhouse leader Tommy Fleetwood on 18-under-par as he stood on the eighteenth. A dramatic playoff looked the likely outcome unless the Spaniard could produce something magical on the last and he did just that. After finding a bunker with his second, Rahm produced a sublime shot out of the sand to land four feet from the hole. He duly went on to roll home for birdie and claim both the DP World Tour Championship and coveted Race to Dubai title all in one swoop.
