County Foursomes
Congratulations to Andy Ferris and James Mitchell who won the Somerset County Foursomes Championship held on the Channel Course at Burnham and Berrow on Sunday. This is Andy's second success in this event in recent years and he and Myles Angell won the tournament two years ago when it was played here at Clevedon.
Bristol & District Junior Golf League - Alexander Trophy
Some good scores were returned at The Players Club from our juniors representing us in the Alexander Trophy. Congratulations to Charlotte Millington, Harrison Selwyn, Tom and Oli Hayden who all played under their handicaps and as result all have had reductions to their handicaps. Keep it going boys and girls.
Club Mid-week Stableford
Another pretty good scoring event on a sunny, but chilly day. 27 competitors entered and a rundown of some of the scores are as follows:
First place - Andy Dixey (42 points), second place - Gareth Watkins (41 points), third place - Alan Phillips (40 points) and in fourth place - Sally Anderson (37 points).

Ladies Stableford - Wednesday, 5 April
Division One - First place - Sally Anderson (34 points) and in second place - Sarah Martin (32 points).
Division Two - First place - Elaine Morgan (36 points) and in second place - Ann Marsh (33 points).
Division Three - First Place - Eve Childs (30 points) and in second place - Sue Hughes (29 points).
Ladies Past Captains - 10 Holes
First place - Ruth Steele (24 points) and in second place - Sue Bamford (21 points).
Masters Sweepstake
I'm sure lots of you were glued to your televisions just like me into the early hours for the Final Round of the Masters. What a back nine! Great golf and captivating action. As we do each year we ran a sweepstake for this year's event and the results of which are as follows:
First Place - Vicki Sach (£60).
Second Place - Mike Sach (£45).
Third Place - Steve Boyle (£35).
Tied For Fourth Place - Dave McGovern and Dave Perks (£25 each).
