Ladies Winter Bowmaker - Wednesday, 30 November

Last week's ladies event was a bowmaker played over the front 10 holes. The winning team's achievement was made remarkable by the fact they played the last three holes with only two players as Elaine was unable to finish after twisting her ankle! Results were as follows:

First place - Eve Childs, Elaine Morgan and Sue Hughes (40 points), second place - Sandra Sharp, Carole D'Ammassa and Sue Liddeatt (37 points) and in third place - Lynn Williams, Rosemary Fife and Laureen Angell (37 points).

Club Turkey Trot - Saturday, 3 December

This annual festive event is a Texas Scramble with the leading three teams receiving vouchers for 'lb to lb Family Butchers' shop. The vouchers are ready for collection from the pro shop. Results were as follows:

First place - Dennis Godley, Steve Parker, Tim Beer and Phil Reynolds (Nett 55.8), second place - Jon Sheppard, Paul Thomas, Graham Trenaman and John Connors (Nett 56.4) and in third place - Paul Stokes, Nigel Turner, Andy McCall and Mike James (Nett 57.6).

 

Dan Keitch

We're pleased to announce that from Monday, 2 January there will be a new face joining the pro shop team. Dan has held Assistants roles at Taunton Vale under his father Martin and more recently at Taunton & Pickeridge. Dan is going to help with our day-to-day activities as well as bringing a wealth of knowledge in coaching golfers of all abilities in both individual and group formats. Dan will also be working closely with myself and Ash to develop our Junior Section.
