It's been a busy time indeed on the golf course this week with plenty of competitions results to report back on.



125th Anniversary Competition

First place - Ben Bamford, Sue Bamford, Roger Gibbins and Susie Gibbins (97 points), second place - John Dennett, Peter Pilling, Paul Frapwell and Mark Rigby (92 points and in third place - Jason Wallace, Adrian Dugmore, John Mays and Martin Reid (91 points).

125th Anniversary Mixed Invitation

A very pleasant way to spend a Bank Holiday. Our 125 Mixed Invitational participants enjoyed a fantastic day from a weather viewpoint, followed by a superb buffet from our Chef Brian Merchant. I am sure our many visitors enjoyed their day too.

Winners on the day with an amazing 94 points were Tracy Buckland, Steve Buckland, Sandy Hill and Peter Hill. Second place went to David and Sue Tasker along with Jim Cushley and Andrea Moores from Chipping Sodbury Golf Club, they scored 91 points.

 

Seniors' 4BBB Open

First place - A. Kidd and S. Mercer (47 points) and in second place - R. Crocker and K. Hand (46 points).

The best home pairing was John Horler and Steve Buckland who scored 43 points.

Seniors' Captain's Day

First place - Peter Horlock, Don Fraser, Jack Harris and Steve Boyle (125 points) and in second place - John Horler, Alan Wignall, Stephen Wellman and Jim Ingram-Cotton (119 points).

 

Ladies 'A" Team

The 'A' team had a good win last Friday beating Shirehampton 10-4. This puts them up to third in the table with two more games to play, three points behind Henbury who are second.

Well done to all the team Merriel, Debbie, Sandra Jones, Charlotte, Sally Anderson, Ruth and Carol. Especially well done to Charlotte who played her very first A team match today and won 8&6. What a pity she has to go to school and can't make most of the matches. I am sure we can suggest to Milly a bit of home tutoring!
