Welcome to our final newsletter of 2017. Ladies Turkey Trot - Wednesday, 6 December

The ladies got into the Christmas spirit with this four ball better ball event over the first 10 holes. There were Santa hats galore, along with tinsel and baubles everywhere! The spirit showed through into the scoring with 16 of the 20 pairings amassing 20 points or more.

The top spot went to Alison Lee and Maria Saynor with 27 points, Sally Anderson and Christine Anderson also scored 27 points, but lost out narrowly on a countback. A run-down of some of the scores is below.

First place - Alison Lee and Maria Saynor - 27 points.
Second place - Sally Anderson and Christine Anderson - 27 points.
Third place - Pauline Deal and Jane Clark - 25 points.
Fourth place - Sue Tasker and Sheila Ponsford - 24 points.
Fifth place - Sandra Jones and Alison Hodgson - 24 points.
Sixth place - Janet Durbin and Hilda Shields - 24 points.

Pro Shop Christmas Competition

This Saturday we are hosting the fun Christmas competition for those that have entered, we'll be getting festive half way round with mince pies, Christmas cake, mulled wine and even a tot of something stronger if you'd like? Even if you're not playing, why not come and join us?

As ever we'll be playing a format that has a twist or two. The pro shop team look forward to seeing you all to spread some seasonal cheer.

You’ve made it abundantly clear…

Each month we run a new poll on our website to get you thinking about your golf game and the hottest topics in golf.

Given the time of year, our latest poll asked you to consider your main golfing goal for 2018 from a choice of four answers. We thought the responses would be fairly similar and for three of the answers it was, but ‘lowering your handicap’ was the standout goal with 69% of you choosing this as your biggest aim for 2018.
