Junior Coaching - Winter 2016

We will be running some junior coaching sessions throughout the winter. There will be two sessions, one from 1:00pm - 2:00pm for anyone aged between 5 and 10 years old and another session at 2:00pm until 3:00pm for ages between 11 and 18 years old.

If you have any sons, daughters, nephews, nieces or grandchildren that may be interested in taking up golf, let us know in the pro shop by calling 01275 874704 or click here to send us an email.

The sessions will cost £5 per child and will be held on the dates below. Obviously the sessions will depend slightly on the weather, but we'd love to see as many children as possible.

Junior Club Championship

Junior Champs Tuesday saw the Junior Club Championship take place. There were lots of good scores throughout the day with Harry Selwyn taking the Club Championship title. Oli Hayden won the Best Nett trophy, Josh Owen scooped the trophy for the Best Stableford score and Charlotte Millington took the Best Girl's silverware home.

Well done to all of the prize winners and competitors that took part.

Seniors' Stableford (played over 16 holes) - Thursday, 20 October

Division One - First place - Gordon Ogden (31 points), second place - Richard Smith (29 points) and in third place - Malcolm Pemble (29 points).

Division Two - First place - John French (36 points), second place - Kevin Mackintosh (35 points) and in third place - Andy Beech (34 points).

Ladies Captain/Past Captains' Challenge

28 ladies competed in the above competition last Wednesday. The format was greensomes matchplay with the Captain's team (which consisted of committee members plus others) playing against the Past Captain's team (which consisted of past Captains plus others).

After the first six matches the points were Captain's team 3.5 - Past Captain's team 2.5. It was all on the last match to see whether the whole match would be halved or whether the Captain's team would win. The last game was in fact halved which resulted in a final score of Captain's team 4 - Past Captain's team 3.
