Ladies Coffee Morning
Wednesday saw the annual running of the ladies coffee morning. A day with golf, stalls for shopping, cakes and pastries and of course cups of coffee! A great day was had by all who attended and those that gave up valuable time to organise such a successful event.
Pro Shop Easter Competition
Last Saturday's event had the format chosen by us here in the pro shop (sorry). It was a little different and hopefully not too complicated for the competitors. We split the event into two seperate events, one for four balls and one for three balls. I think the effect of the Easter Bank Holiday coupled with the 'iffy' weather contributed to some of the three balls.
Top spot in the event for four balls went to
Jamie Osment,
Gary Villis,
Tim Aldom and
Paul Faulkner who scored 89 points and receive
£38 each. Well played gents. Second spot was secured by
Alan Thorne,
John Dennett,
David Young and
David Wilmot also with a score of 89 points losing on the countback, they receive
£26 each.
Top score in the event for three balls was 86 points by the team comprised of
Charlie and
Steve Goss along with
James Sharrod, they receive
£20 each. Second place was 78 points amassed by
Dave Sutton,
Mark Hodges and
John Vickerstaff who receive
£13 each.
